One of the great things about Aruba is there are so many restaurants to choose from. David and I like to pick a nice restaurant about once a week so in late October, after scouring nearly a hundred online reviews, we decided to try Taste My Aruba. Like so many restaurants during the Covid outbreak, the restaurant was completely empty when we arrived. Regardless, Nathalie, the owner, was extremely upbeat, greeted us warmly and treated us as though we were guests in her home – we immediately felt welcome and were engaged in a lively conversation.
The restaurant is intimate (i.e. small), but the menu at Taste My Aruba changes daily and all food is sourced locally. I finally settled on the fresh lobster, anticipating that I would only be served the lobster tails, but I was pleasantly surprised when this plate was served. After getting a quick lesson from Nathalie on what was edible and where I could find it – I dug in. Needless to say it was amazing!!!
