Another day another dive. Today we are with Rebel Diving Curacao at Playa Porto Marie which is known for it’s the beach facilities (restaurant, showers, area for divers to suit up and rinse equipment) as well as for it’s 2 local residents, Willy and Woody. We were lucky to see both Willy and Woody while visiting Playa Porto Marie. One of them was just laying around in the shade posing for photos and the other was rolling around in the mud. In case you don’t know, Willy and Woody are pigs (literally) and are celebrities at Playa Porto Marie.

While the beach, the facilities and pigs are great to experience, the real star of Playa Porto Marie is the reef. It is stunning and offers wonderful diversity for divers. There are valleys of sand where you may be lucky to find a ray or two and mountains of reefs with fish, sponges, corals and loads of other marine life. It was our first dive at Playa Porto Marie, but definitely not our last!
