We spent our last dive day in the Westpunt area at Go West Diving. Their house reef, aka “Playa Kalke” and “Alice in Wonderland”, is quite lovely, with loads of sponges and “mushroom like” coral formations. The Go West dive center is one of the best we’ve encountered in the Caribbean. It is very well designed and has most everything a diver wants and needs – great set-up space, shade, rinse tanks, shower, bathroom, refreshments, nearby restaurant for surface intervals, friendly dive staff and a well maintained dock. And my favorite part is the ladder attached to the dock. It is very sturdy, it has a very gradual angle and the steps wide are wrapped in rope eliminating the “slippery step”. It was the perfect place to visit for our last dive staying at Lagoon Ocean Resort.
