We have quite a few iguanas as neighbors while staying at Playa Laguna. Like many fish that we encounter underwater, the iguanas display different personalities. Some are very timid and retreat as we approach while others you can hand feed.
The iguanas also enjoy lounging in the prickly trees growing in the cliffs surrounding Playa Laguna. We’ve even seen one iguana that either jumped or was kicked in the water by the local goats. Iguanas make great neighbors – they are quiet, they mind their own business, they don’t gossip and they don’t wear out their welcome.
