Tonight we took a trip downtown to participate in a long standing Key West tradition – enjoying the sunset at Mallory Square. David wanted to try out a new GoPro toy and I wanted to try out my new camera lens, so it was the perfect opportunity for both of us. I opted for driving because, even in the evenings, the temperature doesn’t drop much below 88 degrees. We arrived early and were able to claim a great spot to enjoy the activities on the square as well as the sunset over the water.
As the sun started setting, more people gathered around and I noticed few were wearing masks nor were they observing the social distancing requirements (tt’s no wonder Florida’s Covid cases are spiking). But the sunset was beautiful and then David and I enjoyed a pleasant walk along Duval Street.
