This week’s Photo of the Week is a pretty common critter – a Banded Coral Shrimp – however it’s not so common after all since her belly is covered in hundreds of tiny blue eggs. It’s very easy to dismiss common critters, but if you move slowly and look closely, you never know what surprises are in store for you. t

I was also very lucky this Banded Coral Shrimp was out. They are often hiding under ledges or in coral holes – where the only thing you can see are their long white antenae.
