David and I have been enjoying many boat dives in Aruba, mostly with Pure Diving Aruba. The Pure Team is great – they are very knowledgeable of the local dive sites, they have years of diving experience, and they are just fun to dive with. With Pure, we have visited sites such as The Planes, The Jane Sea, Harbor Reef, Anchors, Fingers, Sponge Reef 1, Sponge Reef 2 and Sponge Reef 1.5 among many others. The conditions have ranged from almost still water with no winds and no current, to strong winds, choppy surface and strong currents changing direction. Visibility has also varied from 50 feet down to 5 feet.
Although the dive conditions have not been consistent, what has always been consistent is the quality of the marine life. We don’t always see the same fish or sea critters, but the ocean is always full of schools of vibrant fish, colorful sponges, various types of eels, and expanding coral colonies.
